My story
Before becoming a driving instructor, I worked in Human Resources and HR Information Systems for two large food manufacturing companies. I loved helping people develop skills, confidence, and independence — whether it was mentoring new starters or improving systems and training.
That passion for coaching led me to retrain as a driving instructor. I trained with the AA Driving School, starting in March 2023, passing my theory in May and my practical in August — both first time. I then joined the Government’s PDI Trainee Scheme to gain real-world experience while continuing my studies.
In December 2023, I passed my final DVSA qualification — a live, assessed lesson with one of my pupils — again on my first attempt. In January 2024, I became a full-time Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) with the AA.
As my two-year contract concludes, I’m proud to launch Drive With Drew Gloucester — a driving school dedicated to helping learners build confidence, understanding, and control.
