Mock Test Checklist

See where you’re ready — and where to focus before your test day.

Before you start

  • Provisional licence checked and displayed
  • Eyesight test passed (read plate at 20.5m)
  • Vehicle safety questions practised (Show Me, Tell Me)
  • Mock test area route planned (mix of urban, rural, dual carriageway)

Driving sections

  • Move off — safely and under control
  • Use of mirrors, signals, and positioning
  • Speed awareness and progress
  • Junctions and roundabouts — approach, observation, and timing
  • Overtaking and meeting situations
  • Manoeuvre exercise (reverse park, bay, or pull up on the right)
  • Emergency stop or controlled stop
  • Independent driving — signs or sat-nav

After your mock test

  • Reflect on good decisions and where you felt unsure
  • Record any serious or dangerous faults
  • Identify one improvement for each section
  • Optional: print this checklist and tick off each skill

I can run a 40-minute DVSA-style mock test and provide structured feedback with next steps. Book a mock test slot.

Mock tests help you manage nerves and measure consistency before your real test day.
